ANNOUNCED — IMPLEMENTATION TO BE CONFIRMED
Argentina announced the program on 2 October 2026, with applications expected in Q4 2026. This guide does not confirm that applications are open today.
Amounts below are for the main applicant, before additional fees and expenses.
Route | Announced amount | How it differs |
|---|---|---|
Treasury contribution | US$350,000 | Direct, non-refundable contribution. |
Government security | US$800,000 | Subscription to a security created for the program. Final terms must be checked. |
The announcement does not specify maturity, interest, redemption or transfer conditions. Treat any assumed yield or repayment schedule as unconfirmed.
Announced additional Treasury contributions: US$100,000 for a spouse; US$100,000 for each child aged 18–25 who is unmarried and has no children; US$25,000 for each child under 18. Family relationships must be documented.
US$500,000
Main applicant + spouse + two children under 18, using the contribution route. This announced example excludes additional fees; it is not a full quotation or an eligibility assessment.
Under Decree 524/2025, the investment agency evaluates the investment and obtains relevant security checks, then recommends approval or rejection. The National Directorate of Migration makes the final decision. Meeting an investment amount does not guarantee citizenship.
The decree gives Migration 30 working days after receiving the agency’s report. That is one decision stage, not an end-to-end application or passport timeline.
Before choosing a route, obtain the current implementing rules and verify the application channel, complete fees, document checklist, eligibility restrictions, presence requirements and security terms. The reviewed announcement and decree do not supply a complete operational checklist.
Citizenship, permission to reside and tax residence are separate questions. Ask qualified advisers to assess how your circumstances and current country’s rules affect your decision.
Start with a private inventory of your identity and family records, and records explaining the origin and movement of your funds. This is a preparation suggestion, not an official document list. Avoid commissioning translations or legalisations until requirements are clear.
Discuss liquidity, sovereign credit risk and the final security terms with an appropriately qualified adviser. Confirm official payment instructions and the authority of any representative before sharing documents or transferring funds.
